Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP is a leading international law firm, with over 675 lawyers and 1000 staff in offices across Canada and internationally. We currently have an opening in our Vancouver office for a Reference and Electronic Services Librarian to cover a one year maternity leave, commencing in August. Reporting to the Director, Library Services, the Librarian participates in diverse and complex duties in a busy team environment.

Key Responsibilities: Providing legal, business and non-legal reference service to students, paralegals and lawyers using print and electronic resources; coordinating and conducting library resource training.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Managing use of commercial online services, including managing passwords, facilitating training and evaluating new services.
- Contributing to the library website or portal.
- Conducting competitive intelligence and business research as required.
- Classifying and cataloguing new library materials.
The ideal candidate must have a Master’s degree in Library and/or Information Studies from an accredited program. Previous experience in a law or business library is an asset, as is experience with intranets and other web-based technologies. Must have a high level of expertise searching online services and formatting results. Must possess exceptional organization skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities, as well as superior communication skills and the requisite poise and confidence to work in a busy professional environment.
