Selkirk College is seeking applications to fill a temporary full time librarian position at the Castlegar Campus Library.

Under the direction of the College Librarian, and working collegially with other Library staff, the successful candidate will work in public services. Responsibilities include reference (face-to-face and virtual reference); information literacy instruction; collection development; and other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will possess a Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution.  Applicants should have library reference and instruction experience, as well as strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and commitment to working with students, faculty and community.  

Salary and benefits for this position are in accordance with the Selkirk College Faculty Association Collective Agreement.  The salary range is $4,316.42-$6,935.92 (at a 100% appointment) per month and is based on qualifications and experience.

This is a temporary full time position, commencing September 10 through November 30 (approx), with the possibility it may be extended. Evening work will be required.
