Summary
Under the general supervision of the South Okanagan Similkameen Region Campus Librarian, and in coordination with the Campus Library Assistant for daily activities, carries out circulation duties; handles routine user inquiries; maintains the collection as specified; completes assigned project work; opens, operates and closes the Library in the absence of the Library Assistant; and performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Education
Completion of Grade 12 plus a Library Technician diploma.
Minimum Experience
Over one year related post-secondary library experience.
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of automated library systems. Familiarity with the Endeavor Voyager library system and MS Office programs is an asset. Must have good communication and service skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, work in a team environment as well as exercise tact, courtesy, discretion and sound judgment, and work well with limited supervision.

This position is governed by the Collective Agreement between Okanagan College and the B.C. Government and Service Employees' Union (BCGEU).

Weekly Schedule
Nineteen hours per week.
Tues-Thurs 5-9pm (4 hours/day) & Sat 8:30am-4:30pm (7 hours/day).

Annual Salary/Hourly Rate
$18.47-$21.09
