The Revenue Division provides administration, compliance, enforcement and collection activities for both tax and non-tax statutes administered by the Ministry of Finance. The Income Taxation Branch, one of ten branches in the Division, is responsible for delivering tax refund and compliance programs under various statutes and for overseeing the governance structure with respect to the Canada Revenue Agency’s administration of the provincial income tax systems and the provincial portion of the Harmonized Sales Tax.
Creating and transferring knowledge is critical for the branch to operate efficiently and effectively. The role of Knowledge Manager is new and will be challenging, offering significant growth potential to the right individual. As Knowledge Manager, you are skilled at both written and verbal communications and able to work independently while responding to the branch’s research and information needs. Because you will be responsible for creating and maintaining both the physical and electronic information sources for branch staff, you should be very comfortable with identifying and helping to implement new technological solutions. You will also be responsible for helping to formalize branch policies by identifying administrative policy gaps and assisting in the drafting of relevant policy manuals.
