Meaford Public Library is located in the Municipality of Meaford in Grey County on the western shore of scenic Georgian Bay and serves a rural and urban population of approximately 11,000. The Municipality of Meaford offers abundant recreational and lifestyle opportunities.
Our busy little library is in search of an enthusiastic, energetic, service-oriented Children/Teen Coordinator reporting directly to the C.E.O. Are you vision oriented in library services? Are you able to reach across boundaries and collaborate for success with library staff in all areas? Are you a passionate advocate for children and teens? Are you current with web-based library management and social media technology? Do you have a strong communication, presentation and management skills? We are looking for a dynamic, committed, innovative self-starter. You will develop programs, in all area and services and outreach strategies. You will be a critical part of the Library’s community. You will also oversee the development of the collection and maintain the collection and accomplish a great reader’s advisory program for all.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Library Techniques or Early Childhood Education or Sols Excel program
- Minimum two (2) years related experience in children and/or young adult program and 2 years library experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications, automation software, office equipment, social media equipment
- Thorough knowledge of library principles and practices, applicable Acts/Regulations/Standards
- Can manage multiple priorities, projects and deadlines and multitask
- Ability to perform statistical analysis and other forms
- Budget Management and knowledge of grant application
Salary range if $37,661 to $45,777 with competitive benefits.
